Thanks for the pricing info.
SO you are located in San Francisco right?
We are living in SF.
By the way for the price you quoted, is it before or after the discount??
Do you have a cash-only price that can give us some more discount?
Someone on the online discussion forum shared with me that it usually cost around $120 – $130 to get all 7 windows tinted.
Can you match that price?
See:
Thanks!

From Perfect Darkness Tint
Hi Wen & Judy,
Your welcome for the pricing.
Yes I am located in San Francisco for mobile work, I can come to you if you have a space for me to work in.
But the main shop that I use is in Marin County, central San Rafael.
(also have a location up in Sonoma County too.)
For details of price discounts you can go to http://PerfectDarknessTint.com/Auto-Tinting and either optin for the FREE Tint Report or share that page on facebook and then you will be taken to the online Preferred Customers Only 3 Specials Offers Page were you will find Option #1 that you can use for our cash deal plus see Options #2 & #3 as well.
If you are mainly concerned with getting a cheap tint price I am not really the tinter you are looking for and you might want to take a trip down to Socal to get that cheap price but it might cost you the same or more just in gas and time.
Plus if that price is for cheap film, then in about 3 to 5 years tops you will need to pay someone more money to strip off the faded tint with bubbles in it, then it cost to put it on, and if you decide to get it tinted the right way it will cost you more.
Feel Free to check out one of our latest blog post tittled The Color Purple Is Not for your Auto Windows, and Bubbles belong in Champagne!!
or
Also here is a post you might want to read as well about The Cost Of Car Window Tint
Last thoughts: you have a brand new beautiful nice 2012 Mercedes C250 that you most likely will keep for a long time, so my recommendation even if you don’t come to me is invest the first time into High Quality and Service over cheap price.
There is a saying;
Quality, Price & Service, pick two because you can’t have all 3.
And you get what you pay for, thats why you got the new Mercedes over a used Honda, is it not?
Here is a potential brake down of your options for your Window Tinting Price Quote:
Computerize quality or service to get cheap price.
  • $130 /find cheap tint shop
  • $300 /in 3 years pay for old faded bubbly tint removal by professional quality tint shop
  • $500 /for High Quality Lifetime Warranted film plus 100% Quality Guaranteed custom tint job.

_______________

$930 / Total cost within 3 to 5 years, not to mention potential faded car interior from cheap film not performing well. (at low end it’s $3000.00 to re-upholstered)

OR
Get top Quality and Service. (the first time and save in the long run.)
  • $500 /for High Quality Lifetime Warranted film plus 100% Quality Guaranteed custom tint job.

_______________

  • $500 /Total cost for Lifetime Warranted film plus 100% Quality Guaranteed

You can look at it this way too; lets say you keep your car for only 10 years, that’s $50 a year or $4.16 a month.

Well I hope this helps and let me know if you have anymore questions about the Window Tinting Price Quote or would like to book an appointment.

No Windows with Bubbles or Purple Color Tint!

Blessings window tint friends,

I know you have seen out on the road, cars driving around with bubbles in the tint or faded purple color tint, or maybe it was you driving around like that and did not know what to do or where to go to get it fixed the right way.

I wanted to share this post below from David E Ewing from Arizona, in case you were wondering about purple color tint or bubbles in the tint being a good or bad thing. This should clear it all up for you! :)

[divider_bar]Insert Your Text Here[/divider_bar]

Driving around the Valley of the Sun, it always amazes me to see all the autos out there with Purple and / or bubbled windows! Some of these are older, but some are not so old. When your car windows turn purple or bubble, it has gone bad and it’s time to replace the tint!

Purple Color TintBecause the sun shines 85% – 90% of the time in Arizona, automotive window tinting is very important. Unfortunately, there are many companies willing to take your money and give you cheap window tinting. The cheapest tint job is not the best tint job, and like any purchase, you get what you pay for. Saving a little money now, will inevitably cost you more in the future!

Inexpensive window film consists of polyester film dyed to achieve the desired color and darkness. The purple appearance is caused when the ultraviolet rays from our always shining sun break down the dyes in poor quality film. Film bubbles because it is of poor quality and the result of a failure in the adhesive process.

Quality window film and a professional installation will help you avoid the embarrassment of purple, bubbled windows, and save you money in the long run.

Purple Color Tint

We not only offer four types of high quality window film in various shades, which are backed by a lifetime warranty, but we also offer a written labor guarantee on the installation!

WE FIX THE $99.00 TINT JOB!

[divider_bar]Insert Your Text Here[/divider_bar]

And sometimes it cost more to remove the cheap film then it dose to install it and then the cost the second time to get it tinted right the in the first place.

So I invite you to go to my home page to see how we can fix your Purple Color Tint and to see all that we have to offer you and thanks for reading.

Remember in the San Francisco Bay Area, Marin County and North Bay WE FIX THE $99.00 TINT JOB!

We fix Purple Color Tint and offer a lifetime warranty so that you never get Purple Color Tint again.

Are you looking for a Auto Tinting Quote?

Hey window tint friends,

I know from over 12 years in this industry that the number one question most people first ask when they call on the phone to my shop is “How Much To Tint My Car?” “Can I Get A Quote To Tint My Car?”

A Auto Tinting Quote.

Below is a post by David E Ewing that I wanted to share with you, so please check it out and leave a comment below telling me what you think.

[divider_bar]Insert Your Text Here[/divider_bar]

We get lots of calls every day from consumers asking for a quote to tint their vehicle.  No Surprise, as we are in the window tinting business.  What is surprising however, is the vagueness and confusion offered up by consumers when asking them pertinent information about their vehicle.

In order to give you the most accurate estimate on automotive window tinting there are several things that we will ask to determine your price, and you knowing the answers, will not only allow for accurate pricing, it will ensure you know exactly what you are getting into, and avoid “surprise” fees at your appointment.

First and most obvious questions are the YEAR, MAKE and MODEL of your vehicle.  This information helps us determine the difficulty and approximate length of the installation process.

We also want to know if you have a 2door or 4 door car, a MPV or SUV.   If it is a truck, we want to know if it is a single cab, extended cab, or quad cab etc.  This sounds like an easy question, however for many, this is where the confusion begins.  DO NOT count your “HATCHBACK” as a door, it is the back window and is included in the window count for your type of vehicle.  Any quarter windows behind the doors are also included in the window count for your type of vehicle.

What is not included are FRONT  ”WINGS” or “VENTS” or FRONT (in front of the driver’s window) QUARTER windows. On your trucks, we want to know if the back window is solid or if it slides open.  These “EXTRA” features are factored into the price quote differently.

Auto Tinting Quote
Rear Slider Window

We will further ask you if you would like the “LIMO” (5%) film on the back of the vehicle and if you would like to add a “VISOR” or “EYEBROW” to the top of the windshield.

One VERY important piece of information we will ask you is if your vehicle is currently tinted.  A large percentage of consumers don’t know the answer to this question, or they answer incorrectly.  If you have window tint on your vehicle, you will be able to tell by rolling a window down and looking at the top edge of the glass.  If you notice a definitive break between the color and clear glass, this is window film.  Cars do not generally come with “Factory” tinted windows, where as your MPV, SUV, and Trucks generally do have “Factory” tinted windows in the back.  Factory tinted windows are colored glass, and you will not see the distinguishing difference of clear glass at the top of the window.

If you take a few minutes to prepare yourself for answering the questions above, the process of providing an accurate and helpful estimate for the cost of tinting your vehicle will be less stressful and more enjoyable for all.

We are always happy to assist you on the phone if you are looking for a Auto Tinting Quote, or you can get an online quote from our website, where you will need to provide the same information.  If you are still unsure about your answers to any of the questions, please feel free to stop by our showroom, and our qualified staff will gladly give you a hand and provide a quote.

Cost of Car Window Tint

So, you want to know what is the best value for the Cost of Car Window Tint.

Hi friends,

Are you doing your research about how much to spend on a high quality tint job for your car? Check out this post below by my friend Harrison Hung about the Cost of Car Window Tint. Then contact me because I am here to help, here to serve in anyway that I can and happy to do so too. :) blessings and enjoy!

Cost of car window tint

Oddly, the Cost of Car Window Tint is a even harder subject than explaining how window film works.

The price for a car tint can vary dramatically from the cheapest fly-by-night shop from $100 to the luxury tint shop’s $400 or more. For each of these situations, the price can be considered REASONABLE. What a REASONABLE price is depends on many factors:

Your Car Type plays a part in the Cost of Car Window Tint

Quite simply, a small percentage of cars are harder to tint than others. When getting a price quote for the cost of car window tint, a Tint Shop always asks you for the make and model of your car. This isn’t to see how much money you have and charge you up the wazoo. (Often it is with less reputable tinters)

Tinters know which cars take more time to tint properly. Some cars with steep and curved rear windows like the Volkswagon Beetle or Corvette tinters often charge a premium to tint. Additionally, each additional square foot of window on your vehicle requires more window film to tint. This makes tinting a SUV or station wagons cost more than sedans.

Type of Tinting Film plays a part in the Cost of Car Window Tint

Just like comparing a Hyundai to a Porsche, there are wide performance and cost differences in tinting film. The cheapest tinting film can be many times less in price than more expensive film, but you get what you pay for.

Cheap film may look good at the beginning, but they can fail to block the summer heat, fade, turn purple, or bubble soon after installation. Higher quality window film such as fully-metallized sputtered or deposition window films like Solar Gard HP films offer both advanced performance and a lifetime warranty. These films are worth the higher price.

Performance Warranty plays a part in the Cost of Car Window Tint

You are highly encouraged to ask about the Performance Warranty before you pay for tinting services from anybody. Typically these Warranty’s can last from as little as 1 year to a Lifetime.

Not all Warrantees are created equal! Most warrantees only cover problems such as cracking, glazing, bubbling, and peeling. Some films carry a “Color-Safe Warranty” that gives you peace of mind that if the color of your tint ever changes, it will be replaced. The best warrantees are “Transferable” which allow you to transfer the warranty to another person when you sell the car. This adds permanent value to your car.

Be Careful! Irresponsible tint shops can also offer “Lifetime Warrantees”; however, if they go out of business next year, who is there to replace your bubbling tint? You should always factor in this “hidden” cost when buying low priced car tint.

Dealer’s Reputation plays a part in the Cost of Car Window Tint

Reputable Tint Shops take great pride in their work. They have high standards in who they hire, the film they use, and overall customer service and experience.

Naturally, this increases the cost for them to do business, and they charge more as a result. To make sure you are talking to a quality dealer, ask these questions when choosing a tint shop.

How to Choose a Good Car Tint Shop

Here is what you need to know when looking for a high quality Tint Shop in your local area.

Hi Friends,

It is a very good thing to do your do diligences when looking for a high quality window tint shop to get your vehicle tinted, so check out this article below by Harrison Hung for what he has to say about choosing a Tint Shop.

[divider_bar]Insert Your Text Here[/divider_bar] How to choose a good car tint shop

Most metropolitan areas have an abundance of tint shop choices. In the San Francisco, CA area alone, there are 30 different tint shops within a 30 mile radius. How does a discerning consumer choose the tint shop that does quality work? What is the difference between a “Dr. Tint” and a “Quality Window Tinting”?

We at TintCenter.com Window Tinting Guides suggest that you do a little research. First, compile a list of 5 potential tint shops that would likely do good work. Ask your friends and co-workers who have tinted their cars which tint shops they chose, look in the Yellow Pages and mark down the tint shops with large professional advertisements, or come to TintCenter.com and get price quotes from local tint shops.

Once you have this list in-hand, its time to interview each Tint Shop dealer:

  1. How long have you been in business at this location? Do you have other shops in the area?

Good tint shops prosper despite local competition by offering good service at reasonable prices. We suggest that you find a tint shop that has been in business for 5 or more years at the same location. This shows a stable business that will be there years down the road if somehow the tint goes bad.Often times, successful tint shops open car tinting branches in neighboring cities. Although the installers of the branches may not be the master tinter of the bunch, since opening new shops means training new employees; however, branches are a sure sign of a successful tinting business.

  2. What types of films do you carry? What warranty do you offer on your work?

Quality tint shops carry complete lines of window film from one or multiple window film manufacturers. They should carry dyed, hybrid, and metallic window films in a variety of colors and darknesses. Beware of tint shops that only carry one or two lines of film, and sells them aggressively. They may have acquired this film on sale, and may not be thinking of your unique requirements and concerns. The warranty on the car tint varies depending on the window film you choose. TintCenter recommends that you install only window film backed with a lifetime warranty for materials and labor. Most films don’t guarantee color and fading, it is recommended that you also choose one that does. For the warranty to take effect, remember to get only legal window tint for your car. Illegal tint can nullify any manufacturer’s warranty. When you purchase your tint, be sure sure you get a manufacturer’s warranty card from the dealer with the date, the window film used on each window, and the total cost of installation as well as the receipt.

  3. Can I visit your tint shop? Can you show me a sample of your work?

Tint shops can sound like the best shop on the phone, but 15 minutes on-site should tell you all you need to know.Good dealers pay attention to customer service. They should be happy and willing to spend the time to talk to you and explain how their shops work. Remember, if they don’t spend time with you now, will they spend time with you when something goes wrong with your tint job down the road?A tint shop’s work area should be indoors and clean. Their tools and window films are organized in a professional manner. If the tint shop is outdoors or in a parking lot, this is a negative since it is critical to remove all dust and dirt from the windows before applying window film.frit and strips tinted window tint shopNow take a look at a car they have already tinted, and look at the rear window. Is the window film applied in a single piece or is it cut into strips that surround the defroster lines? The best tint shops always apply film in a single piece. Now look at the borders of the rear window, in many cars there is a black ‘frit’ edge on the window, Make sure the window film is securely attached to the frit as well.Pay attention to side-windows. The window film should be applied to the inside and be completely flush against all 4 edges of the window. Now look at the window film itself. Don’t worry if the film looks slightly streaky and discolored, window film takes a couple weeks to dry out and become completely clear. If there are bubbles of air under the film or the film itself is not complete flat against the window, this is a sure sign of sloppy tinting.

  4. Consider Doing it Yourself!

If you are a handy person who enjoys car and home projects, installing your own film costs between $60 – $100 to purchase DIY car tint kits that are custom cut to match the windows of your vehicle. After gaining some experience in car tint installation, you can continue the savings by installing film for friends and family.

Get price quotes as well as use our Free Online Price Quote from each dealer for the exact darkness, color, and type of window film you want. Never compromise because there are plenty of other dealers out there that will offer your perfect tint. With these price quotes and your research on each tint shop, make the decision. Refer to the cost of car tint article to help you rank the dealers.

After you make your decision, remember to always make an appointment with the tint shop before you tint your car. Even if they say “drop-ins accepted” or “bring it over any time”, you want your tinter to be calm and prepared for you when you arrive. Tinting may take a couple hours to half a day, so either arrange a ride or go to a nearby coffee shop with a good book. Enjoy!
